Shawn was prompt, thorough, and easy to talk to. He explained his process before the inspection began and invited me to join him for the entire inspection if I wanted to. This being my first home purchase, I did. He took his time through both the exterior and interior of the home. Shawn was also respectful of the current homeowners in that he took the time to place a towel down at the front door and underneath the entrance to the attic to collect dirt and dust. If Shawn had to move a piece of furniture to look for an outlet or air filter, he was sure to put it back the way he found it. He explained and discussed each feature of the house from foundation to attic and everything in between. Also, Shawn was honest enough to say which areas he was not qualified to explain. The report was delivered ahead of schedule, and was in a concise and easy to read format. I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone purchasing a home in the New River Valley.

Shawn Jones is hands down the best home inspector in the New River Valley! I'm in the process of buying my first home, and Shawn went above and beyond on the inspection. He was extremely detailed, and he was sure to cover absolutely everything. Be sure to be present for the inspection, because he led me around the property and gave me detailed instructions about every single issue/repair. I was so surprised that he was so attentive and helpful. He got the report back quickly and it was amazingly detailed, as well. I'm so glad I used him for my inspection!
